API Updates​
An AFL API update is released fortnightly accompanied by release notes posted in this area. Additional updates may be applied on an adhoc basis to resolve an urgent issue.
Process​
| Step | Action | Details |

| 1 | Sandbox Environment updated | The Sandbox Environment is first updated with the new release. |
| 2 | Release Notes email sent | Champion Data support sends out the release notes email, informing recipients that the sandbox environment has been updated and the production environment will be updated in the next 24 hours. |
| 3 | Wait till next day | During this window the sandbox environment can be used to try out what's new in the update. |
| 4 | Production Environment updated | The Production Environment is updated with the new release. Should the update contain new/revised metrics, then during the update process SNS subscribers will receive metric change notifications against every match. |
