AFL API Rate Limiting

In response to increasing activity on the AFL API, and to ensure the API’s continuing service isn’t impacted, the API rate limits will be activated as of this update. Prior to this update, the rate limits were monitored when exceeded but no actual limit was applied.

Your rate limit may depend on your contractual terms – please contact Champion Data for more details. The standard rate limits are as follows:

• 32,400 Requests per day
• 20 Requests per second

If either of these limits are reached, the API will return 429 errors until the respective period is over – midnight UTC for requests per day, or the tick over to the next second for requests per second.

Transactions Endpoint Early Access – R6 2023 matches

This update resolves an issue with downloading match transactions for the following two R6 2023 matches, previously the API returned a 502 error. This should also resolve the issue for any other match with the same underlying cause.
